1. SOLDIER GD (ALL ARMS)
Educational Qualification: Class 10 with 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject. In case of Grading System, must have grade which contains 45% in each subject. No aggregate percentage considered in case candidate has passed with higher qualification i.e Class 12 and above.
Age Limit: Minimum-17 ½ years and maximum-21 years


2. SOLDIER TECHNICAL (TECHNICAL ARMS)
Educational Qualification: Class 12 (Science) with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English with 50% marks in aggregate and 40% marks in each subject.
Age Limit: Minimum-17 ½ years and maximum-23 years
3. SOLDIER TECHNICAL (AVN & AMN EXAMINER)
Educational Qualification: Same as Soldier Technical
OR Three years Diploma in Engg (Mechanical /Electrical/ Automobiles/ Computer Science /Electronics & Instrumentation) from a recognized Polytechnic Institute / ITI.
Age Limit: Minimum-17 ½ years and maximum-23years


4. SOLDIER NURSING ASSISTANT (AMC)/SOLDIER TECHNICAL DRESSER (RVC)
Educational Qualification: 10+2 / Intermediate Exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with Minimum 50% marks in aggregate and minimum 40% in each subject.
OR
In case the candidate has a B.Sc Degree with (Botany / Zoology / Bio-Science) and English, stipulation of percentage in Class 12th is waived off. However, the candidate should have studied all the four specified subjects in Class 12th also
Age Limit: Minimum-17 ½ years and maximum-23 years
5. SOLDIER CLERK / STORE KEEPER TECHNICAL
Educational Qualification: 10+2 /Intermediate Examination Pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce or Science).  Should have secured 50% marks in each subject and 60% marks in aggregate in Class 12th. Should have studied English and Maths/Accounts/Book Keeping in Class 12th or Class 10th and should have secured min 50% marks in each of these subjects, whether studied in Class 12th or Class 10th .
Age Limit: Minimum-17 ½ years and maximum-23years


6. SOLDIER TRADESMAN
Educational Qualification: 10th Pass/ ITI (For Mess Keeper and House Keeper – Class 8th Pass).
Age Limit: Minimum-17 ½ years and maximum-23 years


NOTE (Applicable to all above categories): Candidates must be a unmarried Male candidate and must be a permanent resident of state West Bengal.


Physical Standards (for all above posts):
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 160 cm for Soldier GD (All Arms), Soldier Clerk /Store Keeper Technical (All Arms) and Soldier Tradesman (All Arms); Height – 157 cms for rest of Soldier categories; Chest (unexpanded) — 77 cm; Chest (expanded) — 82 cm; Weight — 48 kg.



Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Recruitment Rally. Rally will start from 19 Feb 2018 and will end on 23 Feb 2018.

Educational Qualification:

NOTICE


Applications are invited from eligible Indian citizens having following eligibility criteria for recruitment to the post of Lady Constables in West Bengal Police. NVF, Home Guard personnel and Civic Volunteers serving in West Bengal Police only are also eligible to apply subject to fulfilment of eligibility criteria.

Eligibility Criteria : -

(1) Age : - The applicant must not be less than 18 (Eighteen) years old and must not be more than 27 (Twenty Seven) years old as on 01.01.2018. The upper age limit shall be relaxed by 05 (Five) years for the candidates belonging to the categories of Scheduled Castes (SC) & Scheduled Tribes (ST) and by 03 (Three) years for the candidates belonging to the category of Other Backward Classes (OBC). The NVF and Home Guard personnel serving in West Bengal Police are also eligible for relaxation of upper age limit as per existing Government order.

(2) Education Qualifications : - The applicant must have passed Madhyamik Examination from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent.

 (3) Language : - The applicant must be able to speak, read and write Bengali Language. However, this provision will not be applicable to the persons who are permanent residents of hill sub-divisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong Districts. 

(4) NVF, Home Guard personnel and Civic Volunteers serving in West Bengal Police 

should complete 03 (Three) years of service as on 01.01.2018. Application Forms may be submitted through on-line or off-line modes during the period from 03.01.2018 to 01.02.2018 (5 PM). The last date of receipt of filled in Application Form through postal services (for off-line applicants) is 01.02.2018 (5 PM). The last date of deposit of Application Fees and/or Processing Fees in respect of applicants applying through on-line using United Bank of India Challan will be 05.02.2018 during banking hours due to technical reasons. Applicants must visit the websites of West Bengal Police (www.policewb.gov.in) to ascertain the eligibility criteria in detail, method of selection, scheme of examination, procedure for submission of application form and other terms & conditions.

The selection process by the West Bengal Police Recruitment Board is transparent and purely merit-based. Hence, the applicants are advised to beware of the unscrupulous elements, racketeers, touts who may misguide the candidates with false promises of getting them selected for the job on illegal consideration
